Course Description: This course is designed for those students who have learnt up to initial level, so it may be assumed that the learners have basic understanding of Hindi language. Thus it will be start from Elementary Hindi Grammar. The second portion of this course is constituted of collections of simple Hindi short stories (‘Idgaah’ by Premchand, Cycle ki sawari by Sudarshan, Taai by Vishamber Nath kaushik ,vish ke data by Nalin Vilochan Sharma,etc.) Essays (Kya likhun by Padumlal Punnalal Bakshi) Poetry (Chaand ka kurta by Dinkar, Mera Naya Bachpan by Subhadra kumari chauhan, Maine usko jab-jab dekha by Kedarnath Aggarwal), One Act play (‘Strike’ by Bhuwneshwar) etc.
This course shall focus on educating the students to have initial knowledge of Hindi Literature so that in the future they can be familiar with the creative writings of Hindi. The pedagogy of the course will involve interactive-dialogical learning through discussion, classroom interaction.
